TOURISM POLICY IN TODAY'S CONDITIONS: THE EXPERIENCE OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article considers the current state and prospects of tourism policy in Ukraine, highlights the priority areas of its transformation, analyzes the subjects that ensure the implementation of tourism policy at various levels, as well as the nature of communication between key stakeholders in the context of tourism. The methodological basis of the study were the works of Ukrainian and foreign scholars in the field of public administration, tourism, as well as materials from open sources, Internet resources, the opinions of leading practitioners. Special attention is paid to the processing of materials of scientific collections and journals. In the process of preparing the scientific publication, research methods such as logical generalization, systematic approach and theoretical search were used. In the course of the research the analysis of the transformation of state administrative structures in the tourism sector of Ukraine and their subordination to separate departments and Ministries was carried out. The priority directions of DART's work as a central body of executive power, which implements the state policy in the field of tourism and resorts of Ukraine, are presented. It is noted that an important task of tourism policy in the digitalization of society is a quality information policy in the tourism sector. The paper also considers the institutional capacity of local governments, in particular regional state administrations to implement tourism policy, as well as an analysis of tourism authorities in some cities of Ukraine. The article focuses on on the review of existing public associations, in particular public organizations and public unions of tourism, which operate in Ukraine and are important for the formation of tourism policy. The obtained results can be used in the work of authorities implementing policy in the field of tourism, tourism business and hospitality industry, as well as other stakeholders involved in the tourism industry and interested in its strategic development.
