AUTOMATION OF BUSINESS PROCESSES OF HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES AS A FACTOR OF INCREASING ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

Abstract

The hospitality industry is one of the main components of Ukraine's economy. In today's world, the service sector, like any other, is constantly transformed under the influence of globalization and integration of processes. Thus, the introduction of information technology in the hospitality industry and their effective functioning is an indicator of positive changes in the economy, an important prerequisite for intensifying international relations and integration of the country into the world community. Modern information development of society is undergoing innovation-technological, oriented transformations, in particular in the field of services. The main purpose of these transformations is primarily convenience, accessibility, mobility, awareness and good relationships with their customers. Monitoring and analysis of the world experience of the hospitality industry shows a steady increase in the popularity of this area of management and leads to increased survival. This situation forces institutions to constantly turn to innovative technological developments in order to remain competitive in the market, fight for the commitment of the guest, improve the quality of service, as well as expand the range of services provided. The introduction of the latest information technologies in the development of production or in the management of enterprises in the hospitality industry provides an opportunity to significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of work, through best practices, management methods or scientific knowledge. Preference in relevance is given to information technology, as their use is a necessary condition for the functioning of any modern accommodation or catering establishment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, high speed processing and transmission of information. Innovation is an important tool that maintains the level of competitiveness of any economic system. However, the introduction of information innovations in the practice of hospitality enterprises faces a number of factors, such as the risk of losing investment, lack of experience in implementing innovations, lack of incentives for innovation by the state, limited financial resources of entrepreneurs, high cost of innovation and others.
