INCREASING THE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES OF HOTEL-RESTAURANT AND TOURIST ENTERPRISES USING MANAGEMENT METHODS

Abstract

The object of the article. Hotel and restaurant and tourist enterprises are one of the most common types of business, new establishments appear every day, which creates a dense competitive field in a given area. The relevance of the work is that the specifics of the use of management methods to strengthen the competitive position of these enterprises in market conditions is partially investigated. Therefore, the purpose of this study is a comprehensive study of management methods and their use to strengthen the competitive position of hotels, restaurants and tourist establishments in market conditions. On this basis, it is necessary to consider management methods and their impact on improving the competitive position of these enterprises in order to strengthen its market position, which determines the objectives of the study. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study was a set of such scientific methods as: generalization (to determine the essence of hospitality and tourism), analysis and synthesis (determination of factors influencing the development of these areas), method of systematization (processing of statistics, the use of which revealed factors of restaurant development , hotel and tourism business, features of competition in these areas, to analyze the dynamics of the market of these services during 2014-2020), graphic (for a visual presentation of the results). Results. A comprehensive analysis of the existing definitions of the concept of competitive advantage was developed and the author's definition was developed, a study was conducted using the methods of collective expert evaluation and identified the 17 most important competitive advantages of hotel and restaurant and tourism enterprises. Particular attention is paid to the concept of competition and highlights its main features in both areas. In the opinion of the authors, the most effective management methods for hotels and restaurants and tourism, which help to increase the competitiveness of enterprises in both areas, are highlighted. Сompanies to develop practical approaches to assessing their competitiveness. To maintain the appropriate level of competitive position, it is extremely important to find and use the most effective management methods and on their basis to form an effective strategy to ensure the productive work of enterprises in the hotel and restaurant industry and tourism. It is proposed to use the following groups of methods to assess the competitive advantages of these enterprises: the method of advantages; profile method; matrix methods; structural and functional method; Based on them, develop the following types of strategies: BTL-strategy, differentiation strategy, business strategy, innovation and benchmarking.
