TRENDS OF MANAGEMENT OF THE INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE ON THE BASIS OF USE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze current trends in enterprise management based on the use of information and communication technologies, integrated information systems and digitalization of production. Today, the main focus of companies is to remain competitive around the world, using the capabilities of modern information and communication technologies (ICT). Companies can use ICT to provide the highest quality products and services at affordable prices and the highest level of customer service, as well as enter new markets through e-commerce. That is why there is a need to study new management methods using information and communication technologies, to identify the advantages and disadvantages of their involvement in the management system of industrial enterprises. The article examines the current trends in the use of information and communication technologies in the management of enterprises, identifies the main aspects of digitalization of domestic entrepreneurship. It is proved that digital transformation is one of the key factors of competitiveness of a modern enterprise regardless of the type of activity. Also, as a result of the study, the main components of the process of digitalization of business are formed. It was found that one of the most common examples of the use of information and communication technologies in enterprise management is the use of integrated ERP-systems. The analysis of the most common resource planning systems on the domestic market showed: 1) the market has not only expensive foreign software products, but also quite worthy of their domestic counterparts; 2) despite the large selection of systems, the most common among Ukrainian enterprises is the BAS ERP system. The article also presents recommendations for the selection of ERP-system for an individual enterprise, as well as highlights certain shortcomings of the translation of the business system into digital format. With artificial intelligence and analytics built into communication tools, businesses can discover new levels of productivity and deliver the meaningful results that customers need.
