TIME MANAGEMENT AS A DIRECTION OF INCREASE OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ENTERPRISE'S OPERATIONAL STRATEGY

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of time management, the operational strategy of the enterprise and outlines the basics of its development on the appropriate basis. The basic principles and functions of time management in operational activities have been established. It is noted that the struggle for time has become the basis of competitive struggle. And one of the ways to increase the effectiveness of the operational strategy can be the implementation of time management tools. The types of working time were considered and it was emphasized that in order to improve the organization of operational activities, it is advisable to conduct an analysis of working time costs using methods of comparing the actual time costs for each type of work with standards; comparison of the actual time expenditure of a certain personnel unit with the average time expenditure of personnel of the same level; timing; method of simplified observations; photos of the working day. The choice of the method of analysis of working time costs depends on the tasks and their scale. Time management strategies that allow to increase the efficiency of the company's operational strategy have been studied. Among which: acceleration strategy, deceleration strategy, accumulation strategy and ordering strategy. Identified potential "bottlenecks" of the operational strategy, such as time loss due to imperfect organization of the work process, errors in documents or production defects. It is emphasized that such time costs should be investigated with further minimization or exclusion from the processes of operational activity. It is proposed to introduce into the operational strategy concepts that allow you to save time at various stages of the operational cycle. At the supply stage, the concepts of JIT, MRP I, MRP II, ERP, SCM and CSRP will be relevant. At the production stage, it is advisable to implement the concept of MRP I, SCM and the concept of quality of working life into operational activities. At the distribution stage – JIT and SCM concepts.
